Littleton.gov put out a great 6 minute video on the history of Wolhurst and the historical Manor House. I’ve lived in Littleton my entire life and didn’t know any of this.
This video is well worth watching. Highlights include: the Hope Diamond, gambling, organized crime and my personal favorite: an underground tunnel between the restaurant and the casino. One was in Douglas County and one was in Arapahoe county. This prevented sheriffs from one county pursuing patrons into the other county due to lack of jurisdiction.
