When you visit the website, wait your turn and you will be allowed to control the camera and see great views of Littleton’s main street, The Rocky Mountains, downtown Denver and almost every major landmark in Old Littleton (Carnegie Library, Prince Street Bridge, Arapahoe Community College, Columbine Mill and many more).
We only post Littleton foreclosures on this blog when there is a great opportunity we think you should be aware of. Today, one of those rare homes came up.
HUD has just released a fantastic deal in the highly sought after Alkire Acres homes community in west Littleton. This is a 3 bedroom home with nearly 2,300 finished square feet (including the basement). The home has vaults, wood floors and needs a little work, but at this price and in this neighborhood, this is a home worth seeing.
Remember, for the first 10 days, only buyers planning on occupying the home as owner-occupants can bid on it (no investors). Check out this link if you would like a quick overview on how to buy a HUD home. It will walk you through the bidding process, inspections etc. HUD homes are much different than other foreclosures, but they can be worth it.
The best Christmas light experience in town is “A Hudson Christmas” presented every year by Hudson Gardens. The gardens are transformed into a beautiful light show boasting over 100,000 lights, a holiday train, hot cocoa, and Santa himself.
The display is arranged in a loop with two refreshment stations, a warming hut, a very large model holiday train track, musical lights and a visit with Santa.
We took some pictures of our outing last night, but to do the display full justice, visit The Hudson Gardens website where they have a video of the highlights.
The display runs from Thanksgiving to Christmas and prices range from $6-$9. The full schedule can be found here:
Join the Bemis Public Library for a seasonal concert featuring the celtic harpist Star Edwards. Edwards is the director of the Colorado Celtic Harp Orchestra and has recorded two CDs featuring the Celtic Harp and the Irish Wire harp.
The convert is free and promises to be a unique seasonal treat this holiday season.

Every year, the Friday after Thanksgiving brings Main Street in Old Littleton alive. The yearly tradition starts when the sun sets and has Santa rides down main street on the Littleton fire engine, as the street is lit up block by block. Everyone follows behind with lit candles. It’s a lot of fun and has a more “small town” feeling than the downtown Denver holiday lighting.
My family and I were there this year, had hot coco, and took a few pictures. Please excuse the photo quality. I took them myself which explains why I hire a professional photographer to take photos and virtual tours of all of our listings
